SOFIA’S PLAY GARDEN

Lauritzen Gardens is a 100-acre botanical center and arboretum in Omaha, Nebraska. More than 220,000 visitors enjoy the gardens annually. Sofia’s Play Garden is located just outside the Visitors Center and opened in 2025. This innovative space combines imaginative play structures, interactive features, and natural landscapes to create a fun, educational, and family-friendly environment.

As the general contractor, Vrana helped guide the project from the ground up, ensuring that every detail from site development and utilities to the installation of custom play elements was delivered with safety, accessibility, durability, and beauty in mind. We worked closely with Lauritzen Gardens staff, planners, horticulturists, and partners to create a space that seamlessly integrates with the surrounding gardens while inviting children and families to explore, discover, and play together.
