Over a century ago, Charles Vrana laid the foundation for something greater than buildings. He passed on to his family a love for Omaha and a belief in doing things the right way. His son, Ernest “Ernie” Vrana, carried that vision forward, building relationships and shaping a legacy of integrity, craftsmanship, and community.

Today, Vrana General Contractors carries that legacy forward into a new generation. Led by Charles “Chip” Vrana, we are proud to continue what our family started: building spaces that enrich the Omaha community.

Our team is efficient, capable, and committed. We bring the experience and resources to deliver, with the hands-on approach you deserve. Chip oversees every project himself, ensuring it meets the standard that has defined the Vrana name for over a hundred years.

Born and raised here in Omaha, Charles “Chip” Vrana doesn’t just know this city; he’s grown with it. From a young age, Chip was immersed in the world of construction. As he grew, so did the business. Working alongside his father, Ernie, Chip helped expand Vrana into a new era, honoring the company’s roots while carrying its legacy of quality and community impact into the future. Chip’s vision for his work, his family, and his future is inseparable from his love for the heartland. When he says, “I love what I do,” he means it. Chip sees every project as an investment in the people, places, and potential of Omaha.

Chip Vrana holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Principia College and brings 40+ years of construction experience. He has served for decades on the Board of Directors of the Nebraska Building Chapter of the Associated General Contractors, where his grandfather was a founding member. Email Chip >
